Professions Guide

Professions are a core part of progression in BitScape Crusade and are tied into the world, quests, and economy.

How Professions Work

Professions begin early and are designed to feel like part of normal progression, not a separate side activity. Gathering leads into processing and crafting, which leads into better equipment, supplies, and progression opportunities.

Gathering Professions

Mining

Used to gather ore and other mineral-based resources from the world.

Woodcutting

Used to gather wood and related materials from trees and forested zones.

Fishing

Used to gather fish and food resources from rivers, coasts, and fishing spots.

Production Professions

Cooking

Turns raw fish and food ingredients into useful consumables and supplies.

Smithing

Processes gathered materials into metal-based progression items and equipment.

Crafting

Supports item creation across multiple material types and fills progression gaps as your resources improve.

How They Connect

  • Mining supports smithing and other crafted progression.
  • Fishing supports cooking and survival.
  • Woodcutting supports crafting and broader material flow.
  • Production professions become more useful as your gathering improves.

The intent is for the profession system to feel interconnected and worth engaging with throughout progression.

Profession Tips

  • Start training professions as soon as the starter quests introduce them.
  • Keep an eye on which zones are best for certain resources.
  • Different tool types matter for different resource nodes.
  • Early profession progress helps smooth out your gear and supply curve.
  • All resource nodes are highlighted with a glow and sparkling animation.
